I think I want to get an R.I.P. Steve Irwin tattoo. Not to be ironic or anything, I just really feel Steve Irwin is an admirable person, after all he brought wildlife into alot of homes that would not have watched an educational program otherwise. My only worry is that it may be a bit late for the tattoo. I wonder if you are going to read these, likely wont matter considering none of my posts have substance to them.

Spy Party

New game is coming out called Spy Party..I don't feel like describing it but look it up anyways...
Psychology and wit are intigrated into the game. this appeals to me alot because i feel it is the direction games should have gone a long time ago considering most gaming experiances are multiplayer these days and the interactions between players should have more depth.

(Miracle whip commercials are wayyyy out of control. I have been trying to think of a condiment that deserves that much hype in a commercial and I simply cannot. However does anyone remember when they made green ketchup?)

new pepsi commercial?

Anyone seen the new pepsi commercial that includes a hip hop style song with lyrics on the line of "lets all get amnesia and forget all the evil"

This line is repeated over and over and seems really offputting to me...Is pepsi suggesting that their product gives people amnesia? Or that drinking their product will eliminate all the worlds troubles for you...either way even if pepsi somehow made drinkers "forget all the evil" it hardly seems like a real solution.

Either way I don't drink pepsi but those of you that do be warned..it may now cause amnesia.

Of course a students personality type can effect their ability to learn in certain situations. The simplest way around this is to offer a wide range of activities and alterations to the learning environment. A student who learns best on their own may find it more difficult in a group setting and others may do an activity in a group that was otherwise difficult for the student and the lesson will simply click for them just by changing their environment slightly. It is impossible to know the best learning environment for every student in your class so it is vital to offer a varied lesson plan to reach all students.

Inspiration in the classroom.

Prior to watching the video I had never seen inspiration used. I feel that this is a fantastic tool to use for students that learn better with visual guides. I think that inspiration could help aide students to be more productive and independent in their work.

Any writing assignment could utilize inspiration among other technologies. Namely research writing assignments allow students to explore the web and online databases and get comfortable doing so.

Depending on what grade/age level your students are will determine if peer support and review is applicable, but for the most part I feel that should mainly be the instructors duty in any classes prior to university. I think the teacher should be deciding what a high quality review is to help the students build a more solid foundation to thier writing or whatever task it is they are doing.

Blog Assignment week 2

I would not agree with some that "blogging" is a waste of student time in the classroom. It is nontraditional and being that blogging has only became popular in the past few years some educators may be out of touch and not have the ability see any practical uses for it in the classroom. When you understand the process you know that it is a reasonable means of communication and one that students today can better identify with and comfortably utilize. If an educator finds a way of using blogs in the classroom many students will better relate and therefore have an easier and more fun time learning in the classroom. I believe that many educators are very behind on the times and traditional, while they believe they are doing right by the students they may be doing them an injustice by not utilizing any and all means of educating them in an efficient and fun way.
